I have enjoyed a varied career in dentistry, working in hospital, community and general practice settings. This broad experience has given me the skills and confidence to provide high-quality care across all aspects of dentistry. I enjoy treating patients of all ages and offer a wide range of dental services, always taking the time to listen, explain treatment options clearly, and tailor care to each individual's needs. My aim is to help every patient feel relaxed, comfortable and well cared for, whether they're visiting for a routine check-up or more complex treatment. I believe that a positive dental experience can make all the difference, and I strive to ensure every visit is as stress-free as possible. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, keeping active by running with my dog, and making the most of the outdoors.

I completed my undergraduate dental training at the University of Plymouth and chose to stay in the South West to pursue my career. After completing my foundation training in Salcombe, I have worked in both general practice and urgent dental care, gaining experience in managing a wide range of patient needs. I have a particular interest in restorative dentistry and am committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care while advocating for disease prevention. I strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, listened to, and confident in their care. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy all aspects of fitness, which helps balance my enthusiasm for cooking.

I trained at the University of Bristol and, having completed my foundation year here at Church Street, I’m delighted to be continuing my journey with the practice. During my time here, I’ve grown very fond of the area and the wonderful community we care for.

I take a warm and friendly approach to dentistry, with the aim of helping every patient feel comfortable, informed and confident in their care. I’m passionate about prevention and preserving natural teeth and function wherever possible. I also believe in taking the time to discuss all available treatment options, working together with my patients to achieve the best outcome for their individual needs and priorities.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for walks and hikes with friends, or simply settling down with a good book and a cup of tea.

Simon is the former owner of Church Street Dental Centre, having successfully led the practice for over 25 years. Throughout this time, he has also been a Foundation Dentist Trainer, mentoring and supporting the next generation of dentists.

With over 30 years’ experience in orthodontics and more than 20 years in dental implants, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise to the practice.

Having now passed on ownership, Simon continues to care for his patients at Church Street while enjoying more time for his hobbies, particularly golf and fishing.

Having recently qualified, it’s been a pleasure to join the practice and serve the needs of our community. I hope to make you feel welcomed and as comfortable as possible, creating a safe space for you to freely discuss your dental needs and concerns. I enjoy the patient-centred and prevention-focused nature of modern dentistry, and look forward to working together with you to better your oral health.

Outside the practice you’ll find me playing badminton, performing drums or spending time with my dog, Rio.

Having started my healthcare career on a dialysis ward, I knew I wanted to continue developing my skills and soon found my way into dental nursing. It was here that I discovered my passion for oral health, prevention and patient education.

I went on to study Dental Hygiene at the University of Portsmouth and now take a very patient-focused approach to care. I believe that maintaining good oral health should be achievable for everyone, and I enjoy helping patients find a routine that works for them.

I’ll always take the time to listen and understand your lifestyle, general health and any concerns you may have. Together, we can create a personalised plan to help you maintain a healthy smile for the long term.

My favourite dental fact? The dollop of toothpaste on your toothbrush is called a nurdle!

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me in the gym or exploring one of the South West’s many beautiful walks.

Sam is our Lead Dental Nurse and has over 22 years of experience in dentistry. She holds an FDSc in Advanced Dental Nursing, with additional qualifications in Oral Health Education and Fluoride Application, and has a particular interest in implant dentistry. Sam enjoys supporting patients, mentoring the nursing team and helping the practice run smoothly. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, creating balloon displays, days at the beach and being a busy football mum!

As a GDC registered nurse, I love helping patients feel relaxed, comfortable and well cared for. I take pride in creating a welcoming environment and enjoy being part of a team dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.

Abi joined the practice in 2025 after moving from South Devon. Abi has a passion for making sure every patient feels relaxed and cared for, the moment they walk into surgery. In her spare time Abi enjoys playing rugby and painting.

Katie joined the Church Street team in 2020, bringing more than 15 years of dental nursing expertise and a passion for patient care. Known for her calming presence, she excels at putting patients at ease. As our Decontamination Lead, Katie also ensures our infection control standards are always top-tier. ​Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring the outdoors with her family or curling up with a good book!

I have been qualified for four years and love working in dentistry. I am passionate about continuing to learn and develop my skills and knowledge, and I look forward to progressing further in my career, with implant dentistry being an area of particular interest. Outside of work, I am a keen runner and enjoy spending quality time with my husband and daughter.

I’m a trainee dental nurse currently working towards my dental nursing qualification. I have a real passion for dentistry and enjoy supporting the team in providing a high standard of care to our patients.

I feel very fortunate to be training alongside such a knowledgeable and experienced team who are always happy to share their expertise and support me throughout my training. Church Street is such a friendly and welcoming environment, and it has given me the opportunity to build my confidence, develop my skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.
